6/25/08-
Two "new" events are scheduled: The "Pan-Lid" parade.
Decorate your bikes, trikes, stollers, yourself and bring your kazoos,
pan lids or any musical instrument and join our parade to help
celebrate the 4th of July. Parade will be Saturday 7/5/08- meet at the
campground store 11am! We are also going to be starting Saturday Softball games!
This is a chance for you and your family to really "play" together.
This activity is family-friendly--all ages and skill levels are
welcome! Bring your mitt and meet at 1:00 pm Saturday 6/28/08 on the
basketball court. This will be a regular activity, occuring most
Saturdays (weather permitting) so plan on making this a weekly fun
event for you and your family!
6/20/08-
Welcome to all our new seasonal campers and thank you to all the
campers who have braved the rainy, stormy weekends to camp with us.
Hopefully the weather will start to improve and make camping more
enjoyable. We have had a busy start to our season. The Mother's Day spa
was a big success and we hope all the ladies enjoyed being "pampered."
Our Father's Day pancake breakfast had a huge turnout! Thank you to all
who waited so patiently for their food. Our weekly Bingo games are
well-attended. Tammy and Carolyn do a great job with this. If you
haven't played Bingo with us, you don't know what you're missing. Plans
are underway for the popular Christmas in July! Start digging out those
Christmas decorations and decorate your campsite. It's fun to walk
around in the July heat and see snowmen and Santa Clauses! If you
weren't here June 21st, you missed the opportunity to play Toilet Seat
Horseshoes and hey, how about the cheese ball game??!!

One more month to go! We are looking forward to welcoming back our old
friends and hope to meet many new ones.
9-28-07-
Thanks to EVERYONE who participated in Chili and Pie Contest. We had
pots and pots of chili. The Sanders family won for the best (and
hottest!) chili and Helen Bruner's winning Cherry pie dessert was
quickly gobbled up. We have some Fantastic Campfire cooks!! Plans are
underway for the upcoming Halloween Fest. This is one of our most
popular events. There will be a "Best decorated Campsite" contest so
dig out those Halloween decorations.
9-14-07-
Only 5 more weekends of camping after this weekend. Now is the time to
enjoy some quality family time in the cooler Fall weather. The
campground is busy planning the AWESOME Halloween festivities for
October 13th. Don't forget, next weekend is our 1st Annual Chili
cook-off and Pie contest! Campers will make their best pot of chili,
cooked over the campfire and bring their favorite pie to the shelter
house to be judged. Who is the best campfire cooker at Summers
Campground??? Be sure to camp with us next weekend to find out!
